Deaf sports

The world Recreation of the deaf is a non-profit recreational, educational, and cultural organization made up of deaf, hearing impaired and hearing people who live in all parts of the world. WRAD celebrates the differences and diversions of people, and encourages interaction among the membership, for stimulating and exciting exchanges of ideas, concepts and information. The committee was founded in Paris, France on the 24th August 1924 at a meeting of Deaf Sports leaders from Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Great Britain,
Holland, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Romania. At last, we accept sincerely all fellow countrymen of the deaf to unite together to make efforts for the welfare of the deaf harmoniously, encouraging martial arts and sports, promoting the exchange of disciplines and developing international friendship of the deaf and hard of hearing. The United States Deaf Cycling Association maintains the web site in an effort to raise public awareness of the services, only cycling organization that is afflicted with the U.S.A Deaf Sports Federation. Serving and Organizing World and National Softball Tournaments for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Softball Players since 1976.

Other sports

Outward Bound West facilitates three open enrollment courses for deaf and signing individuals, an 11-day Technical Skills course, a 7-day Women's Adult Renewal course and a 14-day Mountaineering course. In addition, any school group can arrange a tailored contract course which will be customized to fit your group's goal, timeline and budget. Similar courses previously have been run for the Indiana School for the Deaf and the Rochester School for the Deaf. The purpose for the Rochester Rascals is to promote sportsmanship, leadership on the field and more importantly, a community-wide recognition of men's softball for the Rochester community. Also, the goal is to create equality between deaf and hearing teams in and out of competition.

The Association Deaf Italian Chess was founded in 1989 in Rome, Italy and is recognized by International Committee of Silent Class and by the Federation Chess Italian. It publishes its periodical magazine at every three months. Besides it organizes the Italian championship individuals and teams. Thus, we can say that language is not a barrier at Worldwide Dive and Sail as the teams are multilingual speaking English, Dutch, Swedish, German, French, Spanish and Thai. Whatever be the experience, wherever one is from and whatever language one speak, they will be made welcome and guaranteed a great trip. Many deaf people from around the world have enjoyed this service.
